Cheers to 20 Years for AHS Class of 1997!

Congratulations to AHS Class of 1997 for a successful 20th reunion that took place on Sunday, Aug. 27, at Alta Vista Country Club in Placentia.

While a DJ played tunes from the ’90s, classmates enjoyed a “Cheers to 20 Years!” themed event with a memorabilia display, selfie station, opulent blue and gold table settings and gift boxes filled with a split of sparkling wine and other treats. Guests also were able to take home a customized Class of ’97 champagne glass.

AHS mascot Clem Colonist made a surprise appearance and representatives from the AHS Alumni Association supported the event organized by Araceli Castellon. Her classmates and family members also were on hand to lend support.

Class of ’44 Shares Graduation Date with D-Day

It’s been 70 years since nearly 200 Anaheim High students graduated on the same day that 16,000 U.S. Troops landed on the beaches of Nazi-occupied Normandy, France.

Today, as part of their 70th reunion, members of Anaheim Union High School Class of 1944 and their guests will be remembering their classmates who served in WWII and the sacrifices they all made during this historic time in America’s history. [Read more…]

AUHS Class of 1941 Celebrates 72nd Reunion

America entered World War II six months after the Class of 1941 graduated Anaheim Union High School. From innocent youths who drove Model T’s through the rural community of Anaheim with a population under 10,000, the Class of ’41 Colonists were thrown into battle overseas and on the home front, their lives forever changed.

But it’s not the war years they talk about when 18 members of AUHS Class of ’41 met Sept. 21 for their 72nd reunion. Instead the group relived the idyllic days of their childhood by sharing memories of high school pranks, dances, favorite teachers and other stories from their years attending school together, some since elementary days.
